Regarding the band’s new CD, guitarist/vocalist Seraphackh commented: “While its predecessor, ‘On Wings Of Mercury’, was a journey deep into the realm of the occult, ‘From Arcane Fires’ is a little more direct, more rooted in history and personal experiences of a gloomy reality. This means not only the lyrics but also the music of our third album, and it was the main reason to choose a harsh, dark and epic approach for this monument. It is aimed to show the darkness and the fire forming the foundation of our spirit and so of our music. And to set a sign that some flames will never be extinct.”
ULVER’s 2003 release, “Svidd Neger”, composed by the Black/Experimental Metal act from Norway for the original motion picture soundtrack, has been re-released on vinyl with a new artwork, gatefold, and a 11″x 17″ poster.
US Black/Death Metal label, Paragon Records just recently released a T-Shirt from French Black Metal act, Celestia. On the front is the cover of new album, on the back is the band logo with the title of the album. All writing on the shirt is done with gold metallic ink.
New release from Paragon Records, Darkestrah “The Great Silk Road” out on Digipak. Described as a spiritual, almost pre-historic journey, using pagan themes in a very unique way, often paying homage to the bands Shaman roots. Great melodic parts were paired with traditional instruments like Kyl-kyjak, Komuz or Sygyt. Female Black Metal vocals and singing that created the atmosphere of the spiritual shamanic people.
Like what is being said in the Sodom website, Chris Witchhunter passes away last September 7th 2008. Chris Witchhunter is one of the Sodom’s founding Members - gone but not gorgotten. Rest In Peace Chris!
Black/Death Metal label from Poland, Old Temple Records, released Arathyr’s “Curse Man’s Blame”. A release that consists incredible combination of modern Death and Black Metal. Uncommon and original arrangements. Great sound and technique.
Death/Black Metal label from New York Paragon Records, the one who released “Monoliths of Annihilation”, is currently in the middle of moving their entire site and E-store to a new server. As a result, all of the old links connected to the label’s site are no longer valid.
