THE CORRODING AGE OF WOUNDSThis is the second full-length album from Kratornas, a Philippine band playing grinding black metal. The production on this record is quite clear, with high, thin guitars and gurgling snarled vocals. The thumping drum sound is right up front in the mix, and tends to bury everything else during the blasting parts.

THE CORRODING AGE OF WOUNDSGot this review from Poland’s Atmospheric Zine today, and when I am posting it, it comes up with weird letters. So I think you should get the printed zine instead. There’s a translator but it will only came out with a lot of somewhat mixed words. The thing is that ‘The Corroding Age of Wounds’ did get 5.5/6 and I think that sums it all up. Below were the Polish review and after that the English translation.

THE CORRODING AGE OF WOUNDSThe Corroding Age of Wounds is the second full-length album from the Philippine metal band Kratornas. There’re 8 brand new tracks included on this new album, reaching an hour of massive hatred, speed and heaviness. There’re some cold melodies, insane tempo shifts and demented vocals.

THE CORRODING AGE OF WOUNDSWow, I still remember this band from Philippines, I even wrote review some issues back. Well, this is their new album, and, I’d like to say – this one is much better then previous! Musically we have pretty killer black metal, made in really sick and destructive way, by using of such freezing, cold, fastest guitar riffs, together with really obscure screams and truly dark atmosphere.

THE CORRODING AGE OF WOUNDSHere’s a slab of some fine blackened thrash from the Philippines. Kratornas is the brainchild of Bruno Zamora, who has been working this project since 1995. After numerous demos, EPs, and splits, this is the second full-length album from Kratornas; eight tracks of evil-sounding blackened death/thrash spanning for just under an hour.
